Boise State University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process. Accreditation by NWCCU is not partial but applies to the institution as a whole.
In addition, many academic programs have special accreditation or endorsement. For more information see University Accreditation.
Boise State University is committed to supporting students in and outside the classroom. Grievance policies exist to ensure students have avenues to voice concerns and address both academic and non-academic matters. For additional information see Complaint Resolution Policies.
